Our doctor told us the amniotic fluid level dropped from a 10 to a 7. At a 5, she says it means induction. So, although we're not there yet, she did say that if I was starting to dilate at all (which I'm not) that she would have induced that day. But, induction now could just end in C-section if my body's not at all ready. So, she gave us the choice: schedule an induction for next Monday or come to our appointment and then head over to be induced if things haven't changed with the fluid (and growth too). Jacob's response was, "You want us to make this decision?" I was with him...how can WE decide this? But, we both felt like it was important to come to the appointment before heading to be induced. So, that's the plan. After leaving the doctor's office, I was nervous and scattered. I really wanted another week at work to get things ready, and I also knew we had a few more things at home to prepare. What did I do? I took action! Jacob and I installed the car seat as soon as we got home. I talked to my boss and sub to get ready for maternity leave at work. Slowly, throughout the week, the nervousness faded some and excitement built. Now, I'm thinking I'll be disappointed if I don't get to meet our baby Monday/Tuesday. One of my best friends has a birthday on Monday (and William Shakespeare too), and my brother-in-law has a birthday on Wednesday. So, baby could share birthdays or be sandwiched between birthdays of some really great people. Guess we have to wait and see. I'm thinking my body is prepping for labor, since I did get to see a contraction get recorded on the non-stress test this week. I have also been feeling more nausea lately. One night last week I was transferring video of our honeymoon from the video camera to DVD to make room for taking baby videos. While watching the honeymoon videos, my hubby got to hear me run to the bathroom and heave for a while. I found that quite humorous.
Here are photos of our little one (who is getting very crowded at this point):
