Baby boy is nearing 9 1/2 lbs at 5 weeks old.
See how much he's grown since 1 week old?
Even though we swaddle him tight at night, he spends a lot of time grunting and working his right arm out of his sleep sac. Here he is in the morning with his friend, Mr. Hand, right next to him.
Here he is at night, grunting and working that right arm out. He loves his right arm so much that he sucked on it and gave himself a hickey. At first, I thought it was a bruise, and I was worried that he was hurt. But, when I realized the mark was in the shape of a mouth and on the inside of his arm where he sucks, I was relieved. What a goofy boy!
This week I started using my Boba wrap regularly. He and I both love it! He gets to ride around like a baby kangaroo in his pouch while I water the plants, do dishes, etc. He usually falls asleep while nestled next to my chest.
See what I mean?
Daddy had to work, but Luke and I headed off to Cape to visit family. He did really well on the 3.5 hour drive, and slept for almost all of it. He started fussing about 50 miles from Cape, and I did have to stop about 30 miles from Cape to feed him. He is a good traveler!
He hadn't seen his great grandparents since he was less than a week old, and they were happy to see how much he's grown. Papa hummed "Pop Goes the Weasel" to calm Luke right down.
Luke loved watching Meme's face while she talked to him. He was memorized by her. He laid on his blanket and kicked his legs like crazy. He looks like he's riding a bike with those active legs. Occasionally he gets only one leg going, which makes him look like he's riding a scooter.
We got to visit one of my closest friends and her husband while we were in Cape. She's due to have baby boy in 7 weeks. I know he and Luke will be great friends.
Luke was in need of a bath, and we can finally give him a tub bath. Grandma Green helped me scrub him down. He wasn't too sure about his bath, but he sure liked being wrapped up in a warm towel afterward.
Such a cute little man!
