Thirty Three-Weeks

Here is Mr. Thirty-Three Weeks!

Luke is pulling up on everything, is very interested in his surroundings, plays very intentionally with his toys, and has two top teeth slowly making their way downward. Luke still has a runny nose and has a little cough, but is just as happy as can be. He got his second part to the flu shot early the week and didn't whine for longer than about five seconds. We just adore Luke so much (as if that isn't obvious).

Look at this rosy cheeked little cherub.
Just imagine him singing, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth..."

Luke doesn't seem to have much separation anxiety as of now. He lets others hold him and doesn't put up too much of a fuss when we leave him. But, he sure does know and love his mommy and daddy. Most days Luke and I get home just a little before Jacob, and I love seeing Luke's reaction as Jacob comes in the door. One day this week I caught him on video. Just watch how he waves his arms and bows with joy. Anyone who has seen "Wayne's World" might refer to this as the "I'm not worthy" move.

See, I told you he is pulling up on everything! Early in the week he got back down by just letting go and plopping down on his bottom. But, by the very end of the week he had already figured out some less jarring ways to lower himself down.

"Hey, what you looking at?"

Reading "My First Christmas Board Book" with Daddy

Grammy and Grandpa Rogers bought Luke an entire wardrobe of Kansas Jayhawk gear to show his spirit during basketball season. Here he is, sporting his "Baby Jay" socks, KU high tops, and KU hoodie. This photo turned out to be a perfect framed Christmas gift for Grammy and Grandpa.

Since we had his basketball gear on, we decided to give Luke one of his Christmas presents early. We just couldn't resist. It is a great little basketball hoop that counts and plays music. He loved it! Here's an action shot of Luke's first slam dunk.

He's obviously a natural.

Time to start dreaming of a national championship, buddy.

That night, we took a few quick pictures by the tree. Look how long Luke looks in Daddy's arms.

Too much Christmas already. Time for bed, little Santa.

Then, we had Christmas at Grammy and Grandpa Rogers' house over the weekend.

Luke must have been good this year, because he got a new set of keys, a rotary phone, two books (One Fish, Two Fish and Aesop's Fables), an ornament, and a cool new motorcycle. He also has a fun activity cube on its way in the mail.

Leave it to Autumn to show Luke how to talk on the phone.

Cool new motorcycle! Just like Daddy and Grandpa Rogers!

But, the most fun of all was pulling Grammy and Grandpa's DVD's off of the shelves. And, the best part is, it is totally o.k. with them! (Daddy got to clean up).

Until next week...Love you all!
