Thirty-Seven Weeks

Last Monday, Luke woke up with a goopy eye (again). We had already done two rounds of antibiotic eye drops since Christmas, and I just knew something else needed to be done to clear up his eyes. So Jacob stayed home from work to take Luke to the pediatrician (thank goodness Jacob has a flexible job). I'm so glad we made that decision, because Luke ended up with an ear infection. Poor guy! The doctor sent him home with a ten day dose of amoxicillin, which should clear up both the eyes and the ears. On top of that, he's still cutting a tooth, and he fell and bonked his head while trying to climb the walls at his sitter's (see forehead wound).

I didn't take many pictures last week, but I did have a chance to catch up on some videos. Luke is doing so many new things and is so smart. It's so much fun teaching him to do things and seeing him learning. What can I say? I'm a teacher, and I love seeing kids learn. But, let me tell you, there's nothing better than seeing your own kid learning new things.

Here we are trying to figure out the sippy cup. We still need more work, but we're making progress.

Luke is a dancin' fool! Anytime he hears music, he bops up and down to the beat.

It is so much fun playing ball with Luke!
Out of all his toys, he favors balls (any size, color, or texture).

Luke knows exactly what to do when it's time to brush his teeth. He opens his mouth and gives a little smile. Brushing teeth is fun!

Luke is so strong and adventurous, I wondered what he would do if I put him on the stairs. I discovered he can climb!
